Hengelhoef
The approximately 12 ha of the Hengelhoef pond complex is known to fishermen from Belgium and abroad. Some carp of between 15 and 18 kilograms have been caught in these waters. Moreover, you will find countless white fish and predatory fish species such as perch and pike. You can fish in Hengelhoef from 1 March to 30 November from sunrise to sunset. You do however need to have a licence and you have to follow the rules. A fishing subscription (including Limburgs Landschap membership fee) costs EUR 60 a year for a maximum of three lines.
Kelchterhoef
Since 2018, the fishing rod rights on De Plas from Kelchterhoef have been released, more specifically to the Association of Belgian Carpervissers (VBK) asbl.
Up to four fishermen can fish day and night from two jetties on the north side of De Plas, subject to reservation and payment per week.
