This building is purely modernistic. The structure is clearly visible: concrete frame made with areas in glass, flat-surfaced flint, metal windows and doors, in a rhythmical alternation of beams and columns.
The building testifies to the sophistication and optimism typical of the Expo '58 period.
Originally it was intended as a school for young mine workers.
Today it is a services centre, into which among others the Centre for Adult Education is integrated.
