Molenheide wildlife and walking park

Follow a wild boar in the wildlife and hiking park Molenheide.

Enjoy the scent of resin and pine needles, observe a squirrel nibbling on a pine cone, let a deer eat a piece of bread out of your hand or just relax in the picturesque greenery of this fenced park.

Make it easy for yourself and follow one of the three refreshing hiking trails. A leaflet with the signposted hiking trails is available and free of charge.

Children's path: 1.6 km
Roe deer path: 2.7 km
Wild boar path: 3.7 km

In the wooded cafeteria you can relax in peace and quiet while the children enjoy themselves on the playground.

The Molenheide Wildlife and Hiking Park is one of the attractions in Houthalen-Helchteren. In the coming years, the municipality, the Agency for Nature and Forest and the Regional Landscape Lage Kempen, together with the board members and volunteers of the Molenheide Wildlife and Hiking Park, will join forces to tackle the park, with the support of European and Flemish subsidies. Nature works go hand in hand with improving recreation.

Please note: due to the works, the park is only accessible on weekdays until April 2023.
